Operation Resilience road repairs delayed
A letter from Hampshire Highways
SD-W20081/ - B3047 Bishops Sutton Road, Bishops Sutton - Carriageway Repairs
Following an unexpected delay caused by the current circumstances, the carriageway surface repairs on the B3047 Bishops Sutton Road, from the junction with Sun Lane to the A31, have now been re-programmed to be carried out within the next 2 weeks.
The yellow sign boards at the works limits have been updated and display the most accurate dates and times we have available.
While the works are carried out, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained wherever possible.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, works will be carried out ensuring safe working practices and social distancing measures are maintained at all times. A minimum of 2 metres will be kept between site operatives and members of the public, with the appropriate traffic management in place to prevent any interaction.
You can also visit One.Network, which provides information on all roadworks that are due on the UK road network; http://one.network/
In order to help us to complete the work as quickly as possible, please ensure that no vehicles are parked on the road on the days of the work. Please be aware any vehicles left parked on the road that prevent the works taking place, face the risk of being removed.
For your safety and that of our workforce, we are unable to guarantee vehicular access to and from your property during working hours. Pedestrian access will always be available.
In order to avoid potential injury or damage, please do not walk across the carriageway during the works unless directed by a member of the workforce.
Thank you for your co-operation and, if you need more information regarding these works, please call our contact centre on 0300 555 1388.
